Angels' Place Ministry
First Saturday of each month
5:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Welcome to Angels' Place at First United Methodist Church of The Colony. Our mission is to provide a fun and safe place for special needs children and their siblings to spend the evening while parents enjoy some rest or recreational time together.

Angels’ Place Ministry is a respite care for children with disabilities up to 12 years of age. All care is free of charge and provided by a staff of volunteers.

PARENTS:

If you have been looking for a respite care provider and feel that this ministry would be a good fit for you and your children, please contact Tiffany Rees at angelsplace@fumctc.org or call the church office at 972-625-1281.

In order to ensure a fun and safe evening for the children, below are the necessary provisions:
  1. Please disclose all pertinent facts and medical conditions about your child(ren)’s special needs and accept full responsibility for failure to do so.
  2. Understand that NO medication will be given.
  3. Supply all necessary food, drinks, snacks, and diapers/wipes for any child(ren)
  4. Understand the care will be given by volunteers.
  5. In case of an emergency or accident, The Colony EMS will be called. ONLY EMS will be able to administer any medical treatment, medication, or appliance deemed necessary by EMS. If necessary, transportation to the nearest appropriate medical facility will be given by EMS as they deem necessary.
